Top 5 Matches of 2011

5) vs. Jason Skyy – August 21, 2011 (TEW Gladewater, Texas)
This was my last match of mine that my dad saw. Jason Skyy and I went to the limits in this match with blood, tables, various weapons. This was the end of our year-long feud and it deserves to be on this list without question.

4) w/Cory Summers/Jason Skyy vs. Joey Corman, Payne & HDP – October 2, 2011 (TEW Gladewater, Texas)
This was the main event of my dad’s tribute show – Charles Wallace. This one is special due to the situation. I wanted to have a great match, but at the same time I chose a 6-Man Tag-Team Match in case I couldn’t hold myself together. It was a special moment to team with both Cory Summers and Jason Skyy.

3) w/Jason Skyy vs. Mongoose & Colton Shane vs. Chris & Hunter Preston – TLC Match – November 5, 2011 (WWA Lufkin, Texas)
This was a wild and fun match at Warrior Wrestling Alliance in Lufkin, Texas. We all went out there and gave the audience a match that could be remembered. This one easily made the list because of two reasons. 1) The people I were in the ring with are outstanding and any match that I get to be in with these guys should definitely be on the list. 2) This was the first time in over a year that Jason Skyy and I had teamed together as the Roxbury Boyz.

2) vs. Andy Dalton – July 9, 2011 (BIW Saline, Louisiana)
There are some matches that when you come to the backstage you aren’t proud of or happy about – not this match. I was very proud of this performance. The first time Andy Dalton and I wrestled was in 2005 and throughout the numerous matches that we have had I feel he is one of my best opponents. We mesh well together inside the squared circle.

1) vs. Jason Skyy – May 22, 2011 (TEW Gladewater, Texas)
That’s right. Two matches against Jason Skyy made my list. Why? Because it was damn near perfect. This is a match that I will always remember. We went out there in the middle of the card and blew it out of the water with this performance. The image of Jason Skyy soaring through the air seconds from smashing me through a table is PERFECT. I cannot express how much this match means to me. If anyone is reading this and hadn’t watched the match go to TEWrestling.vze.com and buy Texas Face-Off 9. You will be able to watch this match and other main event matches including a GREAT and bloody match with Chris Preston and Hunter Preston, and the 2 out of 3 Falls match with Rancid Jack Stevens taking on Colton Shane.

January 29th…

So the Texas Elite Wrestling show that was scheduled for December 4th was cancelled which meant that my one-on-one match with Cory Summers was ultimately cancelled as well. Fortunately for me the new TEW President Jason Skyy knew how much I wanted the match and signed it for January 29th. Now the match has even more on the line as the winner will advance to the main event 6-Way Elimination Match with the last man standing becoming the 2012 Texas Elite Winner. Anyone that does any research knows that I have gotten very close to being the Texas Elite Winner throughout the years, but have fallen short on both occasions. However, Cory Summers went the distance last year and became 2011 Texas Elite Winner. I’m sure his plans is to have a repeat win, but you see that’s where I step in. That’s not going to happen.

Cory Summers…let me make this very clear. Dates can keep changing. Weather may keep cancelling shows. But make one thing known you and I are destined to face one another. You cannot run away from me. You cannot run away from the past. I am living proof that the past is what keeps me going. In my career, I have done things that I am not proud of, but getting my revenge by beating you senseless will make me prouder than ever.

It’s Almost Time..

December 4th is closing in at a rapid speed. Cory Summers I hope that you are more than ready to step into the Texas Elite Wrestling ring with me. I know that you will more than likely bring your pals along you out to the ring, but it doesn’t matter. I will get my hands on you one way or another. August 21st when you kicked me out of First Family, a team that I created, it changed everything that I once stood of. I am thankful that you enabled me to finally see just who I was supposed to be.

I am a changed man. I have told the fans countless times that I want to better myself. On December 4th at “Encrypted Shadows” I will leave behind my dark shadows of the past and will open up a new chapter in my career. I will be the “Supernova” Sean Cordova that I should have been all along.

Cordova vs. Summers

On December 4, 2011 at “Encrypted Shadows” I will step into the Texas Elite Wrestling ring against a former partner of mine, Cory Summers. He came to TEW in August 2010 and on the same night as his debut became the first ever Innovation Champion. Very impressive. In October, I placed him in a collection of wrestlers and together we were called the First Family. The team of myself, Cory Summers, Payne and Colton Shane were the perfect combination or at the time that’s what I had thought.

In May 2011, we added a new member to the collection: Mykal Kross. He was the essential piece that we needed for the stable. He was a great mind manipulator to my foe at the time, Jason Skyy. He had turned on him and threw in the white flag for him at “Texas Face-Off 9.”

The first to be kicked out of the group was Payne. He failed to win the TEW Championship and afterwards I saw the weakness in his eyes. At the time, I believed that was the sign of failure. I led Colton Shane and Cory Summers to pummel our former ally into the ground.

The second to go was Colton Shane. Rather than being kicked out of the group, Colton Shane took a smarter approach. He simply just stopped associating with us. I had other priorities at the time with Jason Skyy that I looked over the First Family losing a member. I still had both Cory Summers and Mykal Kross on my side. We would continue as one and stay strong and true.

That is until August 21st. After I lost the “I Respect You” Match to Jason Skyy both Cory Summers and Mykal Kross took it upon themselves to kick me out of the group. And why? Because I told Jason Skyy that I had respected him. To Cory Summers that the sign of failure. He saw the weakness in my eyes.

But on December 4th, it will be he who will have the weakness in his eyes. I have requested this special challenge from the new TEW President, Jason Skyy, and I was immediately granted. He wants to see me get my retribution as much as I do. Cory Summers will fail on December 4th.

WWA Debut Tonight

Jason Skyy and I will reunite tonight as The Roxbury Boyz as we make our debut for Warrior Wrestling Alliance in Lufkin, Texas. Lufkin will always have a special place in my heart as it was the place I made my pro wrestling debut back on April 20, 2002. It’s amazing that I am almost coming up on ten years in the business.

Jason Skyy and I have a challenging task at hand tonight as we take on the team of Mongoose & Colton Shane, known as the Pretty Young Things, and the team of Chris & Hunter Dude Preston in a 3-Way Tag-Team Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match.

Tribute Show Thoughts

Back with a new post for the website. Wanted to share my thoughts on my dad’s tribute show that we at Texas Elite Wrestling held on October 2nd entitled “Charles Wallace Tribute Show.”

The show overall was a success in my eyes. The goal of the show was to raise money for my dad’s headstone and with donations and concessions we earned three hundred and thirty-three dollars. I would like to thank all the fans, wrestlers and referees that came out and helped out. My dad was so proud of Texas Elite Wrestling and without all his hard work and support, the company wouldn’t have been able to get off the ground. He was the main pulling force behind the entire company. He was dedicated to giving out his helping hand in anything that related to Texas Elite Wrestling.

I was featured in the main event teaming with Cory Summers (his grandson) and Jason Skyy (his nephew) and defeated the team of Payne, Joey Corman and Hunter Dude Preston after Cory Summers flew off the top rope with his spectacular Shooting Star Press onto Hunter Dude Preston.

TEW’s next show is scheduled for November 6th as we present “Battlefield 2011″ where I will be facing the Elite Champion Payne in a singles match. Also on the card is the annual #1 Contender’s Battle Royal where the winner will receive a TEW Heavyweight Title show on that very night.

Charles Wallace Tribute Show

This Sunday I will be participating in the Charles Wallace Tribute Show at Texas Elite Wrestling. For anyone that may not know Charles Wallace is my father who passed away on September 15th. It still doesn’t feel real that he is actually gone. I miss him like crazy.

On October 2nd, I have booked out a show that I think will deliver all the way. Many past TEW wrestlers will return for this special event. My dad was a special kind of person who always helped out anyway he could. He was the most important person of Texas Elite Wrestling. He always supported me in everyway.

In the main event of the event, I will join with Cory Summers and Jason Skyy. Both have relations with my dad as Cory Summers is his grandson and Jason Skyy is his nephew. We will battle Payne, Joey Corman and Hunter Dude Preston. I expect the match and overall show to be a huge success.

I love you Dad.

The Path Begins…

On September 18, 2011 the Path of Redemption begins. I know it’s not going to be easy. I know it’s a road that I haven’t traveled in a long time. But I have proven that I am strong enough to admit that I want to change; therefore, change will happen.

At various promotions I have cheated to win matches and championships. I have manipulated people to join my causes. I have shown that my arrogance can get the best of me. That all changes on September 18th. I have asked the Independent Wrestling Commerce for a chance to prove myself to the fans and wrestlers alike for a Path of Redemption.

I will face anyone that I have wronged in my past and the first person on the list is the current Elite Champion Payne. The goal of this is for me to achieve proper respect from my former foes. If they feel that I have earned their respect then I will have accomplished my goal and from there I will take on a new challenger.

I have also heard rumors of The Empire reuniting for one night only. The Empire was a group that consisted of Court Caution, Chris Preston, Payne, Jason Skyy and myself that competed together in Texas Elite Wrestling in 2008 and 2009. If it is true, I am excited because this could perhaps prove myself to my former allies that I am in the process of changing my ways.

Respect Given

It’s been three days since I lost to Jason Skyy. Three days since I told him, the fans in attendance and every wrestler and referee backstage that I respected him and I meant every word. The contest we had was brutal. With every punch, kick and maneuver I felt every bit of it and I still am feeling the aftermath. I was busted wide open during the match and there is nothing like tasting your own blood and realizing that at that point it isn’t just a wrestling match, it is a battle; a battle to survive.

With the crimson mask, I began to not fight to win the battle. Survival was the key. I brought out the folding table in order to send Jason Skyy crashing through it, but that wasn’t to be as I was the unlucky one in the situation. Three seconds later, the battle was over. The near thirty minute match was finished. Jason Skyy was the winner.

I slowly stood to my feet and that’s when it hit me. The war was complete. I may have lost, but I was still able to stand to my feet. I had survived. I sat on the bleachers with all the fans surrounding me and with the microphone in hand I told Jason Skyy that I respected him. History between us goes a long way and I now travel down a road that I should have taken a long time ago.

Minutes later, Cory Summers and Mykal Kross, two members of the First Family came to the ring. The stable that I started alongside Payne in October 2010 that saw the rise of both Cory Summers and Colton Shane. Mykal Kross had been brought into the First Family in May 2011. Payne had been kicked out of the group in June 2011. Colton Shane left the group in July 2011. And on August 21, 2011 I was formally kicked out of the group when Cory Summers and Mykal Kross attacked me in the center of the ring. I deserved the beat down. I was finished with the First Family. I believe that my evil ways had run its course.

I feel that at this point in time I am on a Path of Redemption. What exactly is this Path of Redemption? A new chapter in the book of Cordova. I will step into the ring with anyone that I may have wronged in my past. On September 18th, I have already challenged Elite Champion Payne to a singles contest. I feel that this is the only way to get the true respect from the wrestlers. I believe that if I want to earn their respect, I have to prove it in the ring and after the match if I have proven my respect, then I can show them with a handshake.

Respect Thy Enemy

In eleven days I will step into the ring of Texas Elite Wrestling and for the last time face my adversary “The Misfit” Jason Skyy in a contest that is being called Death With Honor Match. Jason Skyy and I have several years of history with one another. It is no secret that I brought him into the professional wrestling business when I trained him along with Maxx Lavaro in 2004. It’s no secret that the two of us are first cousins. It’s no secret that for the last year we have tried to end each other’s careers.

When I became the TEW President on August 1, 2010 by winning the 3-Way Match against Jason Skyy and Maxx Lavaro, I was the happiest man alive. The months that followed treated me very well as I captured the TEW Title. I had no idea what the future held for me, though. In December 2010, Jason Skyy made his presence felt as he surprised me with a brutal attack. Jason Skyy was angry and I was the reason.

Since 2005, Jason Skyy and I have been linked as tag-team partners. In ACW-Texas, we fought as the 903 Boyz until 2006 when we dropped that, donned pink biker tights and became what most people know us as still today, The Roxbury Boyz. I still have people today asking me why the two of us are fighting one another and why the Roxbury Boyz isn’t still a tag-team. To answer that question, one needs to understand this. The feud between Jason Skyy and I didn’t start in August 2010. The two of us had our differences on many things inside and outside of the ring. There were many nights after the show where we would argue for hours on end about random occurences. Later in the TEW run as the Roxbury Boyz, the arguments were about us losing the match, specifically him losing the match for the team. That is why we are no longer a tag-team.

On August 21, 2011 I step into the ring with Jason Skyy and the loser of the match will publicly tell the winner, “I Respect You.” In order to win, however, you must first make your opponent bleed and then score a pinfall. I will be the winner. Jason Skyy will have to bow down to me and say that he respects me. He should have told me that years ago when I brought him into this business. After the match he will understand all the sacrifices that I made for him. All the times I could have left the Roxbury Boyz and do things on my own. From August 2010 to December 2010, it was great not having Jason Skyy around. He has been a thorn in my side for years and now this is truly the moment I have been waiting for. He will finally have to swallow the little pride he has and tell me in front of the fans in attendance and his peers backstage that he, Jason Skyy, respects Sean Cordova.

All Hail Sean Cordova!
